What roof restoration means for your home
Mel One offers roof restoration across Sydney. A restoration can bring together local repairs, cleaning, preparation and a suitable new finish. The right combination depends on the roof and what you would like to improve.
Tell us whether your priority is a leak, damaged components, surface build-up or appearance. Several concerns can be planned together, with each part shown clearly in the quotation.
Repair, prepare, then finish
Any existing defects deserve attention before the new finish is applied. For tiled roofs, this may include damaged tiles and ridge condition; for metal roofs, the sheets and junctions may need consideration. Cleaning and coating can then be chosen to suit the material and existing surface.
Your quote can show the repairs, preparation and finishing work included. A well-planned restoration addresses the relevant underlying work rather than relying on coating alone.
Compare restoration with repair or replacement
A local repair may suit a limited problem. Restoration combines work across a roof that is suitable to retain, while replacement involves removing the existing covering and installing a new roof. We can explain why an option may suit the condition found.
When comparing quotations, look at the area, preparation, repair allowance, materials and access as well as the price. If cleaning is all you need, Mel One offers that service too.
What affects the scope and price
Mel One provides free quotations. The price of the work depends on the affected area, material, condition, access, preparation and scope. Identify repair, cleaning, painting and any gutter or timber work separately. If an attendance inspection or an independent written report is needed, clarify that arrangement separately.
What to send with your enquiry
Provide the suburb or postcode, what you have noticed, when it occurs and the work you are considering. Roof material is useful if known. Photos are optional and should be taken only from a safe position. Mention access constraints and any previous inspection or repair.
A few useful answers
Is restoration the same as roof painting?
They are not quite the same. A restoration may bring together repairs, cleaning, preparation and coating, while painting is one possible part of that work. Your quotation can list the actual tasks included.
Can a roof be cleaned without repainting?
Yes. Mel One offers roof cleaning on its own. We can discuss whether your goal is to remove build-up, address damage or renew the finish, then plan the work accordingly.
Will restoration fix an existing leak?
The leak first needs to be understood and the relevant repair included in the quotation. A new coating renews the finish, while the leak may need its own appropriate repair.
Are quotations free?
Yes. Mel One provides free quotations. If you need a separate attendance inspection or written report, tell Allen before booking so the arrangement and any cost are clear.
When can someone attend, and can I ask in Chinese?
We are open daily from 9 am to 9 pm Sydney time and reply in English and Chinese. Call Allen and he will discuss a suitable attendance time with you.
